Preventive medicine with a direct, patient-first approach.
MD, MPH
Dr. Lujic grew up in North Haven and now practices in Hamden. He focuses on age management and preventive medicine, with an emphasis on finding and treating the underlying cause of a health problem rather than managing symptoms alone.
He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Yale University, where he was also a four-year starter on the Division I lacrosse team. He went on to St. George's University School of Medicine, returned to Connecticut for a general surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, and spent seven years working as a general surgeon.
After years of treating patients with preventable conditions, Dr. Lujic moved into preventive and age management medicine. He joined HyperFitMD Age Management Center in Milford in 2023, working alongside founding physician Charles Guglin, MD, FACS, before building his own practice focused on the same approach to long-term health.
His surgical training still informs how he thinks about patient care. Today his work includes blood panels, DEXA scans, VO₂ testing, WAVi brain assessments, hormone therapy, and related treatments.
Philosophy
Dr. Lujic starts with a full review of your health history and test results. The goal is to treat the cause of a problem, not just the symptoms.
That may include hormone therapy, changes to body composition, cognitive screening, or other treatments based on what the labs and exams show. His background in general surgery gives him a practical perspective on when conservative treatment is enough and when a patient may need a different level of care.
